2018 Missouri Community Action Network (Missouri CAN) Annual Conference

The 2018 Missouri CAN Annual Conference registration is now availbable.  We have an exciting slate of workshops including keynote speaker Jon Petz.  This year's conference theme, 'Better Together" focuses on strengthening our Network and highlighting the part that each individual plays.  We will focus on innovation, leadership, communication, and direct service work through a variety of workshop sessions and keynotes.  The conference is a great opportunity to network with community partners and Community Action staff. Here is everything you need to know about the 2018 Missouri CAN conference.  

DATES:    May 15-17, 2018 

The conference is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 15th and will close on Thursday, May 17th by 12:00 p.m. This year, the conference will be held at Tan-Tar-A, Lake of the Ozarks.

In addition, we are pleased to offer two pre-conference sessions on Tuesday morning May 15th at 8:30 a.m. at no charge: Board Training and Governance; and Mindfulness and Peak Performance in the Workplace.  

LODGING

Sleeping rooms are available at a rate of $99.00. The deadline for hotel reservations is April 16, 2018. After this date, reservations will be accepted on a space-available basis only, and we cannot guarantee the conference room rate will be honored.

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION

Registration Deadline:  April 30, 2018

Cancellation and late fee policy:  Registrations after 4/30/18 will be accepted but will incure a $50 late fee.  Refunds for cancellations, less a $50 cancellation fee, are available if submitted no later than 5/7/18.  No refunds for cancellations will be given after 5/7/18.  All cancellations must be submitted via email to registrar@communityaction.org.  Substitutions are encouraged.

Pre- Conference Sessions $0.00

Full Conference (including Pre-Conference Sessions and Awards Luncheon)   $375.00

Tuesday Pre-Conference and Awards Luncheon Only    $50.00

Wednesday Only (including Keynote)    $190.00

To support speakers and scholarships for this conference, federal funds provide approximately 3.1% of $685,000 received from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) provided by the Missouri Department of Social Services, Family Support Division, as well as 15.7% of $89,400 received from the Office of Community Services through the 7th Regional Performance Innovative Consortia.
