Description
The Community Action Poverty Simulation (CAPS) is an interactive, immersive experience that gives participants a glimpse into the structural barriers facing individuals living on low-income. In order to most effectively utilize this tool, Missouri CAN encourages all CAPS kit users to invest in the Poverty Simulation Facilitator Training. *During the first day of this event, all participants will experience the Poverty Simulation as family members. Then on day two, participants will gain the skills necessary to plan, promote, direct, and facilitate a Poverty Simulation in their own community.
For those who are flying, we suggest flying in on Sunday so you won't have to worry about delays or cancellations of flights.
*Please note that the registration fee covers the cost of facilitator training only, not the CAPS kit. In order to obtain a copyright license and Poverty Simulation kit, please visit http://www.povertysimulation.org/.
