About the Experience
Missouri CAN’s United in Purpose Training
Objective: to provide an opportunity for those new to Community Action to become oriented to our shared principles, in the hopes of reducing employee turnover. New employees of Community Action are encouraged to attend this in-depth look at the Community Action movement from its initial conception with President Kennedy to today.
Key Topics Covered:
- History of Community Action
- How to utilize the Promise of Community Action as a framework for understanding our shared goals and ideals
- Vision and Values that guide the movement
- Community Services Block Grant (including rules and regulations)
