About the Experience
Reaching the most underserved populations requires a hands - on, creative and
intentional approach focused on breaking down barriers and building bridges for
access. This session equips frontline staff with practical strategies to recruit and retain
clients who face significant challenges in accessing support. Through interactive
discussions and real-world scenarios, participants will analyze community indicators
to pinpoint underserved populations, refine communication techniques to foster trust,
and explore ways to use data and storytelling to amplify client experiences. This
session will provide actionable tools to strengthen engagement efforts and ensure
services are inclusive and accessible for those who need them most.
Learning Objectives:
● Develop strategies for recruitment that reduce barriers to service access
● Strengthen communication techniques to build trust and foster meaningful
client relationships resulting in better retention
● Use data-driven storytelling to advocate for client needs

Registration Cost
This project/program is funded at 30% at $20,892 with federal funds received from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) provided by the Missouri Department of Social Services, Family Support Division. All trainings in this series are hosted by Missouri CAN staff.
